bright and beautiful young women
aged 13 to 17 years old
converged in Orlando, FL to
compete in the Miss America's
Outstanding Teen competition,
the "little sister" to Miss
America, from August 12-16, 2008
at the Linda Chapin Theater,
Orange County Convention Center.
Miss Louisiana's Outstanding
Teen, April Nelson was excited
and in good spirits.
"April had interview on Sunday
morning and came out feeling
that it went really well.
She really enjoyed it, and the
questions and answers she could
remember sounded good," says her
mother Cristi Nelson.
Promoting scholastic
achievement, creative
accomplishment, healthy living
and community involvement for
America's teens, the MAOT
contestants will be judged on
personal interview, talent,
evening wear, lifestyle &
fitness in active wear, and
onstage question. |
